Our Airbnb Picks for Fans of Minimal Interiors
Posted by Samantha Drury Shore on
I don't really fancy holidaying abroad right now. I'm sure I'm not alone. The good news is, there are a plethora of beautiful places to stay, right here in the UK.
Whether you're looking for a romantic city break, a week by the sea with the kids, or just a different view to look at, the possibilities are almost endless.
So if you're thinking of booking a domestic break, we thought we'd help you out with a little bit of inspo. So here follows our round-up of top Airbnb picks for those who love minimal / modern / Scandi interiors as much as we do.
Barn Conversion - Rural Sussex - sleeps 4
We love the combination of sleek modern design, cozy textures and animal prints in this spacious upscale barn conversion. The whole place just breathes quality and attention to detail.

Barn Conversion - North Cornwall - sleeps 9
Strong mid-century-modern vibes in this light and bright barn conversion. Huge windows too - fabulous!

Townhouse - Deal, Kent - sleeps 4
Simplicity meets cosiness, vintage meets modern. There's so much to like about this petite coastal townhouse.

Stable Conversion - Dartmoor - sleeps 4
Clean lines with pops of colour and loads of unusual details to appreciate make this Dartmoor stable conversion hugely appealing.

Barn Conversion - Rural Hampshire - sleeps 8
This spacious barn conversion is full of luxe details and offers the delightful experience of staying on a working sustainable farm. There's also glamping on-site in you fancy getting even closer to nature!
Stable Conversion - Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire - sleeps 4
High ceilings, chunky beams and muted tones in this beautiful stable conversion. Bonus points for being in Bishop's Stortford, where White Black Grey are based!

Georgian Apartment - Edinburgh - sleeps 2
Loads of light and an abundance of gorgeous textures in this central Edinburgh apartment.

Penthouse Apartment - Margate, Kent - sleeps 6
A stunning open plan apartment with wraparound views to the sea. Possibly a teensy bit colourful for our usual taste, but we love it anyway!

Whilst we're talking Margate, a quick shout out to the best pizza restaurant in the UK (in my humble, but well-researched, opinion!), GB Pizza Co.

Coach House Studio - Bath - sleeps 2
Small, but perfectly formed. This studio apartment is perfect for a cozy weekend getaway à deux in the dreamy city of Bath.

Georgian Apartment - Merseyside - sleeps 4
There's something very modernist European about the aesthetic of this light- and plant-filled apartment. The original Georgian features are offset beautifully by the Berlin-chic of the furniture and decor.

Grade II Listed Apartment - St Ives, Cambridge - Sleeps 5
Unusual ceilings, Scandi furniture, lots of grey. We're booking now!

Waterside Cabin - Norfolk Broads - sleeps 4
And of course I couldn't leave our very favourite place to stay off the list! The wonderful Water Cabin in the Norfolk Broads. Utterly serene minimal living. I already wrote a gushy blog post about our stay here in 2019.
