Our Guide to the Monochrome Hotels of the World
Posted by Samantha Drury Shore on
So we started putting this blog post together when international travel was still a thing. For now, you'll just have to enjoy this vicariously. Although for the sake of our planet, armchair travel is going to have to be the new black anyway...! Hope you and your families are keeping well...
How much do you love monochrome? Given that you're reading this, I'm going to assume, a fair amount. I congratulate you on your excellent taste.
Perhaps you'd like to soothe your eyes with a minimal palette wherever you go? Well you're in luck! Here for your delectation is our guide to the monochrome hotels of the world. We've scoured the globe (internet) for as many hotels that we can find with a predominantly white, black or grey interior. What a treat! You can thank us later.
Sleek, modern, minimal and strictly monochrome, what's not to like?
Black and white with pops of yellow. Strong retro vibes in beautiful Paris...
We love the use of glossy black at the 101 Hotel in Iceland...
An intriguing combination of old and new in Lithuania...
Classic, tasteful and understated in Italy's fashion capital...
Proper pared-back minimalism at the Alto San Isidro in the heart of Spain...
Nobody can beat the Danes when it comes to interior design...
These London hotel rooms manage to look both slick and cozy. We adore the dark walls...
Burbury Hotel and Apartments, Canberra
Bright, airy and spacious in the Australian capital...
Salt at Shoal Bay, New South Wales (Self Catering)
Lastly if you're heading Down Under and self catering if more your style, check out this wonderful accommodation... Scandi perfection!
We hope you've enjoyed this monochromatic tour around the world. If you've any suggestions for other hotels we could feature (or perhaps we could do restaurants next time??), do comment below. We'd love to hear from you.
